Job summary

Big Slick, an intimate boutique steakhouse in Austin, seeks a dedicated dishwasher to support our team of chefs in a fine-dining setting. You will maintain cleanliness, stock and prepare dishes for service, and adapt to the dynamic needs of a high-end kitchen.

Position: Full time, Wednesdays through Sundays, with a pay rate of $15 per hour and benefits including health/dental insurance, paid time off, vision insurance, wellness resources, 401(k) and matching.

Qualifications

• Dishwashing experience preferred in a kitchen setting.
• Ability to maintain high cleanliness standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work a Wednesday–Sunday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment for chefs.
• Keep all prep and kitchen areas clean, organized, and stocked.
• Assist team in maintaining clean and ready-to-use materials for service.

Big Slick is an intimate boutique steakhouse and bar from Michelin-starred chefs and Austin-based husband-and-wife duo Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee. We cook premium beef, game, and seasonal ingredients over live fire, using classic French technique and old-world sensibilities.

Big Slick is seeking a dishwasher who is capable of maintaining clean and dishes stocked and ready to go for our chefs. Assisting the team with ensuring the materials needed for prep are cleaned, maintained, and organized. With multiple operating outlets, and more on the way, this is a great opportunity for dishwashers to join a team primed for growth!

Job Duties

Cleaning, washing all dishes and materials for sushi chefs, ensure all areas are clean and ready for guests. Be able to be adaptive in a small fine dining environment.

Rate of pay: $15 per hour
