Job summary

J. Alexander's Restaurant is seeking a Dishwasher to join our fast-paced kitchen and ensure spotless dishware for daily service. You will operate the dishwashing area, maintain sanitation, and support line cooks to sustain high standards of presentation and service.

Candidates should be at least 18 years old with experience using kitchen equipment and the ability to work varied shifts. This role offers opportunities for growth within our hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age to operate kitchen equipment.
• Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, and ovens required.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing area to maintain spotless kitchenware and ensure proper sanitation.
• Coordinate with other team members and management to support kitchen workflow.
• Follow opening and closing cleaning duties and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish station throughout shifts.

Job Description: Our restaurants operate professional, fast-paced, scratch kitchens. We hire dishwashers who understand high expectations for food presentation and execution on spotless clean kitchenware. Our restaurants typically include an open-kitchen layout with visibility from the dining room. Coordination of designated positions requires strong communication and teamwork with other employees, including all other team members and all members of management. This position is responsible for the execution of proper dish cleaning while maintaining a clean station and workspace. Proper sanitation protocols must be followed. Responsibilities also include opening duties and closing cleaning duties.
