Job summary

Village Inn Albuquerque is hiring a Dishwasher to keep the kitchen supplied with clean plates, bowls, and utensils in a fast-paced dining environment. Responsibilities include loading dishwashers, hand-washing select items, and storing clean wares for service.

You'll work to maintain a safe, sanitary workspace, assist with opening/closing duties, and support management with receiving and stocking supplies. Benefits include health options if qualified.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years old and meet state labor requirements.
• No one under 18 may operate, clean, adjust or touch a slicer or a mixer.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. cutting boards, large pots, delicate china).
• Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
• Maintain stock of clean dishes for dining room and cook's line.
• Complete opening and/or closing duties.
• Maintain a safe and clean working area.
• Assist management with receiving and storing food items.
• Maintain exterior building including sidewalks, landscaping, and parking lots.
• Demonstrate respect for all individuals by cleaning and stocking bus service areas and guest restrooms.
• Enthusiastically acknowledge guest with the company’s five-foot rule.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

A Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes in a food service environment to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses. Their duties include prioritizing loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, loading the dishwasher and placing dishes to dry.

Nature and Scope of Position

Demonstrate a passion to serve by providing a supply of clean dishware, glassware, flatware, and kitchen utensils in timely and proper guest services.

Essential Functions

• Sort, scrape, wash dishware, flatware, and kitchen cooking utensils in timely manner.
• Maintain stock of clean dishes and flatware for dining room and cook ‘s line.
• Exhibit integrity in all actions by meeting company standards in appearance, grooming, security, and sanitation. Always shows up in a clean apron, clean shirt, clean pants, and non- slip shoes.
• Wash, rinse and sanitize pots and pans.
• Dispose of trash into outside dumpster and clean trash cans.
• Complete opening and/or closing duties.
• Maintain a safe and clean working area.
• Assist management with receiving and storing food items and supplies.
• Maintain exterior building including cleaning sidewalks, landscaping, and parking lots.
• Demonstrate respect for all individuals by cleaning and stocking bus service areas and guest restrooms consistently.
• Enthusiastically acknowledge guest with the company’s five-foot rule.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Must be able to follow dish machine instructions and operations safely.
• Must be able to use a computer for timekeeping purposes.
