Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is seeking a General Utility in Washington, DC to support dishwashing, cleaning and sanitation across kitchen, serving and dining areas. You will help maintain a sanitary work station, stock supplies, and assist coworkers while following health guidelines and safety rules.

The role requires strong sanitation habits, customer service skills, and the ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varied environments.

Qualifications

• Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Strong sanitation habits.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
• Reading and writing work-related documents in English.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and cooking supplies using proper sanitation procedures.
• Pull trash from trash receptacles and replace bags; clear trash from tables and floors.
• Clean floor area of spills per safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Fill condiments, utensils, and other supplies with stock as needed.
• Load and unload inventory from trucks; stock storeroom.
• Maintain kitchen, serving and dining areas in clean, orderly condition.
• Report safety issues to your manager.
