Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a hotel steward to maintain cleanliness and proper storage of china, glass and silver, and support kitchen sanitation. He/she will assist the kitchen staff in keeping the kitchen and storage areas clean, including equipment, utensils and work areas, and help with proper food storage and rotation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (or comparable experience) and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
• Operate dish-washing equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of china, glass and silver.
• Replace clean chinaware in proper storage locations with care to minimize breakage.
• Wash pots, pans and kitchen utensils following proper procedures for cleanliness and sanitation.
• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and restaurant.
• Empty garbage from Food and Beverage areas into the hotel dumpster.
• Maintain cleanliness of back dock and dumpster area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Job Summary

A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of all china, glass and silver, and ensuring the highest standards of sanitation. He/she is also responsible for assisting the kitchen staff in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and all storage areas; specifically for cleaning all equipment, utensils, and the physical work area. He/she is also responsible for assisting with proper food storage and rotation.

Education & Experience
