Job summary

Snow City Cafe in Anchorage is seeking a Dish Machine Operator to support high-volume dining operations. The role involves keeping the dish machine running smoothly, sanitizing wares, and assisting in maintaining a clean facility.

Responsibilities include operating the dishwashing cycle, using chemicals correctly, and coordinating with the Back of House and Front of House supervisors. This position offers full-time, part-time, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to stand and walk for up to 9 hours in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the dish machine is functioning correctly in all cycles.
• Use proper chemicals in correct quantities for tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, kitchen, and dining areas.
• Follow directions of Lead DMO, MOD, and Kitchen Supervisor.
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work duties; communicate with Supervisors as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Dish Machine Operator (DMO) - Snow City Cafe

(Full-Time, Part-Time & Weekend Availability)

Summary

DMOs are responsible for ensuring that all dishes stored in the kitchen and dining room are cleaned and sanitized to the highest degree possible. The DMO is also responsible for assisting in maintaining a clean and presentable facility.

Operations

• Ensure that the dish machine is functioning correctly in all of its cycles
• Ensure that the proper chemicals are being used both in the correct quantities and for the correct tasks
• Can keep up with the fast-paced work environment of the restaurant
• Follows the directions of the Lead DMO, MOD, and Kitchen Supervisor throughout their shift
• Checks with the Kitchen Supervisor before leaving for any breaks and at the end of the shift
• Complete all regular opening, closing, and side work shift duties and cleaning
• Communicate proactively and effectively with both the Back of House Supervisor and Front of House Supervisor to identify and solve any issues
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the business

• Must be able to work, standing and walking, in a fast-paced environment for up to 9 hours
• Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card
