Provides the highest level of Guest Service. Under supervision, is responsible for setting up the kitchen for operation, assist in preparing food, loading and unloading dish machines, cleaning, maintaining and organizing kitchen and work stations to ensure a high level of sanitation and safety.

UNIQUE JOB REQUIREMENTS

Wears Company issued uniform. Wears black, non-skid sole, leather-type shoes. Wears Company issued mask and gloves as needed. Must be able to work flexible hours, 7:00 a.m. - 12:30 a.m., for 6 to 8 hour shifts. Must be available for shifts at night, weekends, and holidays. Must be friendly, cooperative, and work as part of a team. Must be willing to conform to grooming and hygiene requirements. Must obtain a CA Food Handler card within 30 days of hire or show proof of existing CA Food Handler card.

JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

  1. Greet every Guest and answer Guests questions, providing consistent, friendly, and helpful guest service.
  2. Sort dishes, glasses, and flatware.
  3. Load and unload dish machine.
  4. Wash large dishes and pans by hand.
  5. Check function sheet for daily events and prepare kitchen and dish machine area for operation.
  6. Assist in food preparation.
  7. Maintain proper operation of dish machine.
  8. Clean break area and storeroom, maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety.
  9. Set up buffet tables.
  10. Break down food table in break area.
  11. Perform closing duties to ensure a clean and safe station.
  12. Put away clean dishes and glassware.
  13. Empty all trash cans and break down boxes.
  14. Mop work station and entire kitchen floor; use floor machine weekly.
  15. Work as part of a team, providing consistently friendly and helpful service to coworkers.
  16. Other duties as assigned.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Prior dishwashing experience in a high-volume kitchen is desirable.

Must provide outstanding Guest Service.

  • Ability to follow proper lifting techniques and perform strenuous physical work.
  • Ability to clean work station.
  • Ability to be safety conscious of self and others.

  • Ability to provide friendly, helpful service to coworkers consistently.
  • Ability to handle food safely and using proper food handling practices.
  • Ability to obtain CA Food Handler card within 30 days of hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Able to move quickly and efficiently.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to carry 25-50 pounds.
  • Able to perform heavy physical work safely, including lifting, carrying, and bending.
