Job summary

Valid8 Financial, Inc. is seeking a Discovery Bioanalytical Leader to lead a team of scientists and drive in-house LC-MS/MS and ligand binding assay efforts supporting discovery PK/ADA studies.

The role combines hands-on laboratory work with strategic oversight of outsourced activities. Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant bioanalysis experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing scientific staff in a laboratory environment.
• High level of expertise in LC-MS/MS and ligand binding assays for bioanalysis of peptide, biologic, and/or small molecule drug discovery programs.
• Hands-on experience with assay development, optimization, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Experience with PK and ADA studies.
• Experience with non-compartmental PK analyses and PK parameter interpretation using standard software (e.g., Phoenix WinNonlin).
• Experience managing external CROs and outsourced studies.
• Mentoring scientists and fostering growth.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on laboratory involvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, develop, and supervise a small team of bioanalytical scientists.
• Provide technical guidance on experimental design, assay development, data interpretation, and problem solving.
• Set priorities and manage workloads to support multiple discovery programs.
• Develop scientific talent and support career growth.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing lab environment with emphasis on quality and efficiency.
• Develop and execute bioanalytical strategies in partnership with other biology and engineering teams.
• Oversee in-house LC-MS/MS and LBA method development and validation.
• Manage outsourced CRO activities and ensure timely data delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams to meet program timelines.
