Job summary

JLSa2, a seed-stage venture in South San Francisco, seeks a Discovery Bioanalytical Leader to direct a small team and set strategies for PK, ADA, and discovery studies. You will lead LC-MS/MS and LBA methods, mentor scientists, and coordinate with CROs to accelerate program milestones.

This role combines hands-on lab leadership with strategic oversight, driving data quality, scientific rigor, and collaboration across discovery biology, pharmacology, toxicology, and CMC teams.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
• 6+ years of bioanalytical experience in biotech/pharma/CRO environments.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of scientific staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small bioanalytical team with scientific excellence and accountability.
• Design and guide fit-for-purpose PK, ADA, and discovery bioanalytical studies.
• Oversee in-house LC-MS/MS and LBA methods, data integrity, and timely data delivery.
• Manage CROs and external partners to ensure quality and deadlines.
