Job summary

First Reformed Church in Inwood, Iowa seeks an Associate Pastor/Pastor of Discipleship to shepherd high school students and young adults (ages 18–28), while supporting the Lead Pastor in the broader ministry of the church.

Ideal candidates are maturing disciples, ordained or ordainable in the Alliance of Reformed Churches, with gifts in mentoring, preaching, pastoral care, and leadership development within a rural church setting.

Qualifications

• Ordained or ordainable by the Alliance of Reformed Churches.
• Formal theological training (seminary degree or meaningful progress toward one) is strongly preferred.
• Some experience working with youth and/or young adults and exposure to broader pastoral ministry are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral oversight and leadership for high school students and young adults (18–28).
• Preaching and worship leadership; participate in pastoral care and visiting.
• Develop volunteers, gatherings, and leadership environments; collaborate with Lead Pastor and church team.
