Job summary

Lansdale Presbyterian Church in Lansdale, PA seeks a full-time Discipleship Pastor to oversee Christian Discipleship Ministries, youth and children’s programs, and leadership training. The role reports to the Session and Lead Pastor and envisions progression toward an Associate Pastor position within the pastoral team.

The candidate will lead curriculum development, oversee teaching, and coordinate church-wide education initiatives in a gospel-centered, Reformed context.

Responsibilities

• Lead CDM and committee meetings to ensure fruitful Christian education in keeping with Reformed standards.
• Lead church-wide Community Groups including design/select curriculum and training Community Group Leaders.
• Oversee curriculum development and teaching for all Discipleship ministries with coaching and evaluation.
• Develop and oversee Youth and Children’s ministries (Sun. School, Junior Church, Youth Group, Kingdom Kids, VBS) with age-appropriate teaching.
• Determine curriculum (buy/build); recruit, train and develop ministry leaders.
• Design, develop and execute training for ministry and group leaders.
• Provide leadership for the church library as a resource for discipleship.
• Preach from the pulpit as needed and coordinate with the Lead Pastor.
• Other pastoral responsibilities as assigned by the Session.
