Job summary

The Diocese of Providence seeks a Missionary Discipleship Consultant in Providence, RI for a full-time, permanent role to train parishes in evangelization and faith formation, in collaboration with the Director of Faith Formation.

You will develop and deliver programs, run workshops, and support pastors and parish leaders, while embodying Catholic teaching and engaging travel across the diocese, including some nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Catholic in good standing who supports the Diocese mission.
• Bachelor's Degree in Theology or related field; equivalent acceptable.
• 3–5 years of relevant diocesan/parish experience.
• Ability to articulate Catholic teaching to adults.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Office 365; familiarity with Macs preferred.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Diocese and work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate college campus evangelization outreach.
• Support Certificate in Catholic Theology and Certificate in Catholic Leadership programs.
• Research and help parishes implement best practices in evangelizing catechesis, with an emphasis on discipleship.
• Facilitate workshops for evangelization and faith formation.
• Outreach and communication with pastors and parish leaders.
• Onboarding of parish catechetical leaders.
• Assist in event planning.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
