Job summary

SERVPRO Team Carpenter is hiring Fire & Water Restoration Technicians to join our crew in the Sacramento region. If you have restoration experience, you can contribute to recoveries for homes and businesses, and want steady, year-round work, we want to hear from you.

We offer competitive pay ($20.00–$26.00 per hour), health insurance, paid time off, 401(k) matching, and opportunities to advance to Lead Technician, Crew Chief, or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration including water mitigation or fire restoration.
• Familiarity with restoration equipment and drying procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
• Strong work ethic and dependability.
• Professional communication and attention to detail.
• IICRC certifications are a plus (not required).

Responsibilities

• Responding to residential and commercial fire and water losses
• Setting up drying equipment, containment, and moisture control systems
• Performing water extraction, demolition, and removal of damaged materials
• Working in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined environments
• Following established safety procedures and IICRC industry standards
• Documenting job progress through photos, notes, and daily updates
• Maintaining clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Working alongside experienced technicians, crew chiefs, and project managers

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in water mitigation, fire restoration, or related construction work
• Familiarity with restoration equipment, demolition, and drying procedures
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a team
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn
• Professional communication and attention to detail
• IICRC certifications are a plus, but not required

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to regularly lift 50+ lbs
• Comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces
• Willingness to work in wet, dirty, and physically demanding environments
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to pass a background check
