Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore is seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial properties. This hands-on role requires a calm under pressure mindset, craftsmanship, and a strong focus on customer care during loss events.

You will perform water extraction, structural drying, and fire/smoke mitigation, set up and monitor restoration equipment, and document progress with photos and mobile software.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, general labor, or skilled trades.
• Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, or fire damage cleanup.
• IICRC certifications preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation.
• Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers).
• Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials.
• Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents.
• Take moisture readings using meters and thermal imaging tools.
• Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software.
• Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites.
• Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and team members.
• Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response services.
