Empower AI is seeking a Disaster Recovery/Resiliency Engineer for the Department of State project. You will develop, test, and maintain the enterprise DR/COOP plan and operations supporting the hybrid VPC and global IT infrastructure to keep embassy services highly available.

The role requires 6+ years in IT, a Bachelor's degree, and a Secret clearance, with preferred CompTIA Sec+ and ITIL4 certifications. Some travel is expected as needed to support DoS missions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of education/experience in IT and security disciplines.
• Bachelor's in IT or related field is required.
• Secret Security Clearance is required or can be adjudicated for the role.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain the enterprise DR/COOP plan and operations for the hybrid VPC and global IT infrastructure.
• Ensure IT services remain operational and highly available for U.S. embassies, consulates, passport agencies, and visa centers.
• Lead redundancy, failover management, DR Plan documentation and testing per NIST SP 800-34 and FISMA.
