Job summary

Pueblo County Sheriffs Office seeks a Manager of Community Recovery and Resilience to lead a long-term disaster recovery and resilience program. You will coordinate planning for recovery, infrastructure restoration, hazard mitigation, and intergovernmental partnerships while supporting grants, reimbursements, and regulatory compliance.

The role may include EOC duties and after-hours activation. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in a related field, five years of relevant experience, and

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive disaster recovery or emergency management experience.
• Two years in disaster recovery programs or long-term community recovery.
• Experience with FEMA or federal disaster assistance is required.
• Substitution of education for experience may be considered.
• Experience in procurement, contracting, or financial tracking is a plus.
• Experience working with local government and VOAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term disaster recovery and resilience programs following disasters.
• Coordinate recovery planning, infrastructure restoration, and hazard mitigation.
• Serve as liaison among county departments, agencies, nonprofits, and residents.
• Support grant reimbursements, project tracking, and regulatory compliance.
• Represent the program in the Emergency Operations Center as needed.
• Provide briefings to elected officials and the public; manage after-hours activation.
