PTR Global is seeking an IT Consultant II to lead the Disaster Recovery program for Tier 0–3 applications in a fully remote capacity. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary execution lead for Disaster Recovery program initiatives across Tier 0–3.
  • Lead DR assessments and recovery strategy workshops with application owners and key stakeholders.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Recovery Plans, Runbooks, Test Plans, and After Action Reports for critical applications and services.
  • Coordinate annual DR testing activities, including failover exercises and readiness assessments.
  • Analyze application dependencies, RTOs, and RPOs, and overall recovery requirements.
  • Identify and track remediation efforts to close gaps discovered during assessments and testing.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing operational processes of ServiceNow BCM and related workflows.
  • Leverage the ServiceNow CMDB and other tooling to maintain accurate records of dependencies.
  • Collaborate with enterprise teams to align DR strategies with IT and security objectives.
  • Produce regular status reports and executive-ready updates on DR posture, risks, and progress.
  • Ensure DR governance and documentation standards are followed.
  • Work across diverse technologies and architectures, adapting DR strategies accordingly.
  • Communicate complex DR concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Operate remotely with strong collaboration with distributed teams.

Job Overview:
This IT Consultant II role serves as the primary execution lead for the Disaster Recovery (DR) program, focusing on application onboarding, recovery strategy development, testing coordination, and remediation efforts across Tier 0–3 business applications. The consultant will work in a fully remote capacity while collaborating closely with application owners, infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to ensure robust recovery capabilities, effective governance, and clear communication to both technical and executive stakeholders.

  • Lead DR assessments and recovery strategy workshops with application owners and key stakeholders.

  • Support the implementation and ongoing operational processes of ServiceNow Business Continuity Management (BCM) and related workflows.
  • Leverage the ServiceNow CMDB and other tooling to maintain accurate records of application and infrastructure dependencies.
  • Collaborate with enterprise application, infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to align DR strategies with broader IT and security objectives.
  • Produce regular status reports, metrics, and executive-ready updates that clearly communicate DR posture, risks, and progress.
  • Ensure DR governance practices are followed, including documentation standards, approvals, and periodic reviews.
  • Work across many different technical platforms, adapting DR strategies to fit diverse technologies and architectures.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and DR strategies clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Operate in a fully remote, office/home-based environment with no driving or field work beyond normal commuting.
  • 6–8 years of experience in Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure, or Business Continuity roles.
  • Strong understanding of DR testing methodologies, recovery planning, and recovery governance frameworks.
  • Proven experience leading DR assessments, workshops, and recovery strategy sessions with application and business owners.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Recovery Plans, Runbooks, Test Plans, and After Action Reports.
  • Experience working with enterprise applications and complex, multi-tier environments.
  • Background collaborating with infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams on DR and resilience initiatives.
  • Experience with ServiceNow BCM and CMDB preferred, including configuration and use in DR/BCM processes.
  • Familiarity with Azure or other major cloud platforms and their native DR/resiliency capabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT governance processes and best practices related to continuity, risk, and compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create executive-ready presentations and reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret RTO/RPO requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent DR initiatives, testing cycles, and remediation efforts in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfort working remotely and independently while maintaining strong collaboration with distributed teams.

Pay Range: $70- $75/hr. W2
