Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced Cost Estimators to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs across the United States. The role involves developing accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects, with opportunities for remote, field-based, or hybrid assignments.

You will evaluate damaged infrastructure, develop project scopes, and validate eligibility for funding.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in construction estimating, engineering, or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices and project scope development.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating.
• Inspect damaged facilities and infrastructure to understand damages and repair requirements.
• Develop and validate disaster recovery project scopes and estimates.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and other public infrastructure.
• Support development of FEMA CEF analyses when required.
• Document estimates clearly for audit and program review.
