Job summary

University Health in San Antonio is seeking a Coordinator, Emergency Preparedness to plan, coordinate, and manage activities in emergency management to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.

Under the Director of Emergency Management, you will write and update emergency plans and SOPs, conduct drills, train staff, and serve as a liaison with UT Medicine, UT Health San Antonio, City of San Antonio, and local hospitals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Public speaking experience a plus.
• Experience using computers, Microsoft Office software programs, and other web-related applications is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage emergency management activities across the organization.
• Develop, write, update, edit, and review emergency plans, SOPs, and job aids.
• Conduct, participate in, and evaluate emergency management exercises and drills to test protocols.
• Assist in maintaining professional relationships with University Health leadership and external partners.
• Serve as a liaison for University Health with UT Medicine, UT Health San Antonio, City of San Antonio, and area hospitals.
