Job summary

Vive Collision is seeking a Disassembly & Reassembly Technician in New Jersey to inspect, disassemble, and assess vehicles for hidden damage. You will document findings and assist estimators with 100% repair plans, ensuring safe and accurate work orders.

Requirements include 1+ year of auto body repair experience, HS Diploma or GED, and preferred Auto Body Vo-Tech certification. Strong communication and multitasking in a fast-paced shop are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicles following DFR procedures for inspections.
• Inspect internal structures and parts to identify additional damage.
• Document damage and required parts on damage reports.
• Notify production manager/estimator about supplements discovered.
• Assist with reassembly and replace final moldings and trim.

Job description

The Disassembly& ReassemblyTechnicianis responsible fordisassembling, inspecting, and assessing vehicles foradditionalor hidden damage.Once the vehicle is ready, the technicianwill reassemble the vehicle.

Job Requirements

• Followthecompany blueprinting process and disassembly procedures (DFR) for all vehicleinspections
• Disassemble vehicles after theinitialestimate, inspect all vehicles for internal structure and parts from theinitialinspection (estimate),andidentifyadditionaldamage
• Complete disassembly ofthevehicle toassistestimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% repairplan
• Document and recordadditionaldamage andrequiredparts on a damage report (including blend panels, small parts, on-time use fasteners,moldings, etc.).
• Notify the productionmanager/estimatorregardingsupplements based onadditionaldamage/partsdiscovered
• Assistthe metal technician with reassembly upon completion of the repair, asneeded
• Reassemble vehicle – replace final moldings, trim,and detailpieces
• Perform assigned dutiessafely and responsiblythat does not expose yourself or other employees to unnecessary risk ofinjury
• Other duties asassigned

Skills & Qualifications

• At leastoneyear of auto body repair experience
• Must be at least 18 years ofage
• HS Diploma or GED, Auto Body Vo-Tech certification stronglypreferred
• Ability to effectively communicate withothers
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions, written estimates, and workorders
• Multi-tasking; adapt easily to fast-pacedenvironments

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, and pull
• Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs
• Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 80lbs)
• Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment
