Job summary

VIVE Collision in New Jersey is seeking a Disassembly & Reassembly Technician responsible for inspecting and repairing vehicles. The technician will disassemble vehicles, identify any additional damage, complete detailed reports, and assist in the reassembly process.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of auto body repair experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. HS Diploma or GED preferred, alongside Auto Body Vo-Tech certification.

Qualifications

• At least one year of auto body repair experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others.
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and inspect vehicles for damage.
• Complete damage reports and notify estimators.
• Reassemble vehicles after repairs.

Job description

The Disassembly& ReassemblyTechnicianis responsible fordisassembling, inspecting, and assessing vehicles foradditionalor hidden damage.Once the vehicle is ready, the technicianwill reassemble the vehicle.

Job Requirements

• Followthecompany blueprinting process and disassembly procedures (DFR) for all vehicleinspections
• Disassemble vehicles after theinitialestimate, inspect all vehicles for internal structure and parts from theinitialinspection (estimate),andidentifyadditionaldamage
• Complete disassembly ofthevehicle toassistestimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% repairplan
• Document and recordadditionaldamage andrequiredparts on a damage report (including blend panels, small parts, on-time use fasteners,moldings, etc.).
• Notify the productionmanager/estimatorregardingsupplements based onadditionaldamage/partsdiscovered
• Assistthe metal technician with reassembly upon completion of the repair, asneeded
• Reassemble vehicle – replace final moldings, trim,and detailpieces
• Perform assigned dutiessafely and responsiblythat does not expose yourself or other employees to unnecessary risk ofinjury
• Other duties asassigned

Skills & Qualifications

• At leastoneyear of auto body repair experience
• Must be at least 18 years ofage
• HS Diploma or GED, Auto Body Vo-Tech certification stronglypreferred
• Ability to effectively communicate withothers
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions, written estimates, and workorders
• Multi-tasking; adapt easily to fast-pacedenvironments

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, and pull
• Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs
• Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 80lbs)
• Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment
