Job summary

SRC Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Disassembly Operator for the 1st shift (5:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Thursday) with overtime on Fridays and possible Saturdays.

You will disassemble core engines and parts, inspect outcomes, and sort components for cleaning processes in a fast-paced, employee-owned environment. The role emphasizes basic engine knowledge, math proficiency, and the ability to use hand, air, and power tools while lifting 30–50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Must learn basic engine knowledge and read written processes/BOMs.
• Ability to perform basic math and measure / count reliably.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 pounds and operate hand, air, and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and clean core engines and components per written processes.
• Visually inspect and ensure quality of final products.
• Sort disassembled parts to correct cleaning processes/locations.

Disassembler

Our Disassembly Operators disassemble and clean core engines and engine parts for use in the remanufacturing process. They are essential in SRC Automotive's business operations!

This is a 1st shift position working 5am to 3:30pm Monday-Thursday with mandatory overtime on Fridays and possible Saturdays.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Performs routine and non-routine production duties by following written processes to disassemble core engines, engine components, or to perform assembly on subcomponent parts.
• Responsible for the visual and quantifiable inspection of the final result of their process.
• Identifies and sorts disassembled parts to be sent to the correct parts cleaning processes/locations

Essential Qualifications

• Must have the ability to learn basic engine knowledge.
• Ability to perform basic math; add and subtract numbers.
• Ability to use hand, air, and power tools. Must be able to demonstrate ability to retrieve and comprehend written processes, and B.O.M's.
• Ability to frequently lift 30-50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing paced assembly line setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
