Job summary

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is seeking a Disability Support Worker to assist clients at a SIL home in Cromer, NSW. You will support daily living, personal care and medication administration in a domestic setting while promoting independence and dignity.

Your role includes documenting client wellbeing, complying with safety standards, and collaborating with the CPA team to deliver consistent, high-quality care while embodying CPA's values.

Qualifications

• Commitment to person-centred care.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P2).
• Ability to meet the inherent physical requirements of the role.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Working With Children Check.
• First Aid & CPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to clients in daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, meals).
• Provide personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.
• Administer medication as required.
• Assist clients to move around the home using manual handling and equipment such as hoists.
• Document and monitor client wellbeing and progress.
• Collaborate with CPA staff to maintain a supportive team environment.

Role Purpose The Disability Support Worker role at CPA exists to provide high-quality, person-centered support to people with disabilities. You will play a vital role in empowering clients to live as independently as possible, by helping them to achieve their goals and supporting their day-to-day wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.

About the Clients CPA are seeking a Disability Support Worker to support clients at a SIL home in Cromer.

Role Overview Your role is focused on providing support to clients in a domestic setting (in the home). You will make a meaningful difference through supporting clients with daily living needs such as cooking and mealtimes and helping with cleaning & general household tasks. You will also provide personal care to clients in a respectful and dignified manner, administer medication, and support clients to move around the house through manual handling and the use of specialised equipment such as hoists. You'll also be asked to document and monitor client wellbeing, and collaborate effectively with other CPA staff to maintain a supportive team environment
