To be successful in this role, the DSC should be able to implement a "coordinated approach," ensuring that all parts of the program including education, health, and family engagement work together to meet the needs of every child and family. The Disability Services Coordinator will serve as an integral member of the Early Childhood team, ensuring full compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards and federal laws including IDEA, Section 504, and the ADA.
