This position plays a key role in ensuring equitable access to education by evaluating disability documentation, determining eligibility for reasonable accommodations, and coordinating individualized support services for students with disabilities. The **Disability Resource Specialist** provides ongoing case management and works directly with students to understand their needs, facilitate their transition to college, and authorizes accommodations that support access and academic success. This role collaborates closely with faculty, staff, community organizations, schools, and agencies to implement approved accommodations, address accessibility concerns, and strengthen support networks for students. This position also promotes disability awareness and advocates for an inclusive learning environment by identifying and addressing barriers to accessibility, including bias, ableism, and other challenges that may impact students with disabilities. The **Disability Resource Specialist** will support students at all campuses, but primarily Truax and Goodman South. Travel to the other campuses will be required, based on departmental needs. **Position Details:****Schedule:** This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. General operational hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with occasional nights and weekends based on operational needs. Additionally, this position is onsite with the option to work remotely based on operational needs, subject to change in accordance with Madison College policy. **Expected Progression:** This position includes an expected progression plan.
