The Disability Consultant (Analyst I) at the California Department of Public Health supports employees, supervisors, and managers with disability leave programs, workers’ compensation, reasonable accommodation, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Analytical duties include handling FMLA, CFRA, ND I, SDI, parental leave, and other leaves, plus guidance on WC case management and return-to-work. Compliance with ADA, Cal/OSHA, and labor codes is essential. Hybrid work from Sacramento.

Responsabilidades

• Assist employees, supervisors, and managers with disability leave programs, Workers’ Compensation (WC), Reasonable Accommodation (RA), and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
• Perform analytical assignments on disability leave entitlements (FMLA, CFRA, NDI, SDI, Parental Leave, LOA, CL) and provide guidance on WC case management and return-to-work.
• Evaluate RA requests and apply departmental policy and State and/or Federal rules (ADA, Cal/OSHA) and labor-code provisions, delivering accurate information to staff and supervisors.
• Work under supervision of the Supervisor I, Chief of the Disability Management Unit (DMU).
