Job summary

The Employment Development Department in California is seeking a Disabilitiy Insurance Program Manager I to lead one or more field office units in Sacramento. The role emphasizes service quality, program integrity and staff development.

This permanent, full-time position offers a hybrid telework option and a monthly salary range of $6,525 to $8,170. The manager will supervise workload processing within budget, coach staff, and partner with program customers to ensure effective service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for one or more field office units and ensures services are delivered in compliance with laws, policies, and procedures governing the Disability Insurance Program.
• Develops and maintains staff to ensure proper processing of workload within budgetary limitations.
• Supports continuous capacity building for all unit staff and encourages open, two-way communication.
• May serve as office manager in the manager’s absence.
• Assists in the maintenance of a marketing program, educating and partnering with program customers.
