Job summary

The California Department of Social Services seeks a DESA I Team Manager in Alameda County for a 12-month limited-term, full-time assignment. You will plan, organize, and direct a team of Disability Evaluation Analysts, Medical Consultants, and support staff handling disability claims across programs.

You will model CDSS management competencies, recruit and develop staff, ensure policy compliance, and support timely, accurate decisions while maintaining collaboration with the Branch management

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the activities of a team of Disability Evaluation Analysts, Medical Consultants, and support staff.
• Ensure accurate and timely decisions on disability claims.
• Model CDSS management competencies and support staff development and training.
• Recruit staff and manage workload to meet department goals.
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures and support inter-team collaboration.
