Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of disability claims or related experience required or preferred.
• Knowledge of ERISA regulations, FMLA regulations, and Social Security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Makes claim determinations and approves routine disability claims based on plan provision.
• Reviews medical information and coordinates with nurses to determine disability status.
• Manages benefits due, makes timely payments and adjustments.
• Communicates with claimants and providers to set expectations and document progress.
• Coordinates referrals to outside vendors or physician reviews when needed.
• Maintains professional client relationships and delivers excellent customer service.
