South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department based in Greenville, SC seeks a Benefits Specialist to coordinate monthly caseloads, distribute benefits materials, and provide comprehensive benefits management services to beneficiaries.

The role includes interviews, assessments, evals of BPQY, and collaboration with SSA and state/federal agencies. Travel within the upstate region may be required; SCVRD offers extensive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Human Services or related field.
• At least three years of experience providing services to people with disabilities.

Responsabilités

• Complete monthly caseload coordination and management activities as scheduled.
• Distribute benefits information sheets to beneficiaries, counselors, parents, support staff, and partner agencies.
• Provide benefits management services to beneficiaries per month.
• Coordinate interviews and assessments; evaluate BPQY and other federal/state information.
• Provide planning, monitoring, and advisory services with SSA or other agencies; maintain case files in CMS.
• Manage caseload and schedule appointments for SSDI/SSI beneficiaries for information and referrals.
• Develop and implement information sessions and outreach for transition-age students and school districts.
• Plan and conduct information seminars for transition students and parents; attend family information nights.
