Job summary

TURN Community Services is seeking a full-time Day Program Coordinator to support adults with disabilities through art and learning. You will monitor and implement person-centered plans, assist with daily living skills, and foster growth and independence in a supportive day program.

This role involves strong communication, driving large vehicles when needed, and representing TURN in the community while building partnerships with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of work experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a work setting.
• Experience with various forms of art and the ability to teach classes.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Own personal, reliable transportation.
• Valid driver's license, current motor vehicle insurance, and clean driving record.
• Willingness to drive large program buses and vans and train new employees to drive them.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, supervise, and participate in the development and implementation of person-centered and behavior support plans.
• Ensure personal goals and well-being are met through individualized support plans in the day program.
• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and transfers, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and support behavior management.
• Serve as TURN's representative in the community and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
