Job summary

The Director drives the transformation of workforce policy across UCSF while establishing the HR Compliance function and building the governance infrastructure for policy development, interpretation, and implementation. Reporting to senior leadership, this role partners with Legal Affairs, Compliance, and HR to align policy with institutional strategy and UC system direction.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8–10 years of leadership experience in HR, workforce policy, or compliance.
Expert knowledge of workforce policy development, governance, and implementation.
Comprehensive understanding of California employment law and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

Drive transformation of workforce policy across UCSF and establish the HR Compliance function.
Partner with Legal Affairs, Compliance, HR Centers of Expertise, and executive leadership.
Shape UCSF's voice in UC system policy and governance while ensuring legal and operational alignment.
