University of California, San Francisco seeks a Director to drive transformation of workforce policy and to establish the HR Compliance function with governance across Campus and Health. You will partner with executive leadership to shape policy, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed governance into daily operations.

Lead cross‑functional teams, leverage data and processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and employee experience while strengthening institutional accountability.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, public administration, public policy, or related field
• 8–10 years progressive leadership experience in HR, workforce policy, labor and employee relations, compliance, governance
• Expert knowledge of workforce policy development, governance, and implementation
• California employment law and personnel policies and governance understanding
• Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and interaction with policy
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing executive decision‑making
• Experience interpreting employment laws, policy, and regulatory requirements
• Experience developing enterprise policies, governance frameworks, and standards
• Experience leading organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strategic planning, policy analysis, organizational development, and change management
• Strong written, verbal, and executive communication skills

Aufgaben

• Drive the transformation of workforce policy across UCSF and establish the HR Compliance function
• Build governance infrastructure for policy development, interpretation, implementation, communication, monitoring, and improvement
• Partner with senior leaders to set strategic policy agendas and ensure alignment with governance and operational priorities
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and enable compliance integration into LER strategy and operations
• Leverage AI, automation, and technology to improve policy access, responses, and risk monitoring
