Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Director of Workday HCM Engineering & Intelligent Workforce Experiences to lead a teams of engineers and configuration specialists shaping our HR technology platform.

You will guide Workday architecture across HCM, Financials, and Integrations, champion AI-enabled capabilities, and partner with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable HR technology solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of software engineering experience.
Hands-on Workday HCM/Financials/Integrations experience with ability to guide architectural decisions.
Proven delivery experience with Agile methodologies and enterprise-scale HR tech implementations.
Experience identifying, piloting, and scaling AI-driven solutions within HR tech ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Software Engineers and Business Systems Consultants with mentorship and strategic direction.
Direct complex design, development, configuration, testing, and implementation tasks.
Lead investigation and resolution of critical, high-impact problems and incidents.
Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve efficiency and processes.
Apply industry trends to formulate scalable software engineering solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
