Job summary

NIKE Retail Services seeks a Director of Visual Merchandising who will lead a high-performing VMS team, shaping seasonal presentation strategies and styling standards to create compelling retail experiences. You will translate consumer insights into visual narratives across Nike’s Factory channels, driving brand distinction and sales.

With a strategic, brand-centric mindset, you will collaborate across merchandising, design and operations to enable flawless execution in Nike’s Factory stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Design or related field.
• 10+ years in retail marketing, visual merchandising, product merchandising or related experience.
• Strong eye for product presentation, styling and storytelling.
• Passion for team leadership, people development, coaching and mentoring a diverse team.
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams while fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Extensive visual background with experience in a large-scale vertical retail environment.
• Deep understanding of fashion, product presentation and consumer trends to translate insights into visuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote; Mac preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 4–6 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear VMS priorities, styling direction and presentation strategies that inspire consumers and elevate in-store experiences.
• Set premium presentation standards and a distinct visual point of view across Nike’s Factory marketplace.
• Directly coach, lead and develop a high-performing team of VMS Managers and Specialists with clear goals and recognition.
• Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, inclusivity and growth while developing future leaders.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with Global and Geo CDM functions, Merchandising, Design and Operations.
• Partner with Territory and City teams to ensure VMS tools and standards drive flawless execution.
• Use consumer and marketplace insights to shape presentation strategies that drive engagement and sales.
