Job summary

Alexander Dennis is a global leader in design and manufacture of double-deck and lightweight buses, driving the transition to zero-emission mobility. The Quality, Reliability & Service Director will own end-to-end vehicle quality and aftermarket performance across the product lifecycle.

In this role you will reduce the cost of poor quality, oversee warranty and field service operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and maximize customer satisfaction and fleet availability.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in engineering or quality, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in quality, field service, or engineering roles in heavy-duty vehicles.
• Leadership of cross-functional teams and remote service teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish processes, standards and performance expectations across Quality and Service.
• Ensure production quality systems and controls deliver vehicles to standards and customers.
• Oversee QA frameworks including inspection strategies and customer acceptance.
• Drive cross-functional resolution of quality and field issues using root cause analysis.
• Monitor vehicle performance and fleet availability; act as senior escalation for major issues.
• Translate field insights into improvements across engineering and manufacturing.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce repeat failures and enhance long-term performance.
• Oversee field service operations and warranty cost management.
• Ensure regulatory reporting and financial discipline across Quality and Service.
• Align quality and service with business and commercial objectives.
