Job summary

Google is seeking a Director of User Experience for Android Auto to lead a team of designers, writers, and researchers. You will be responsible for delivering an end-user experience across OEM partnerships and internal stakeholders, shaping the product vision and strategy for Android Auto.

• Define and deliver the multi-year UX strategy and product vision for high-quality, compatible, and updateable Android In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems, applying thought leadership to solve complex, multi-dimensional business problems.
• Deliver all Partner programs with automotive OEMs. Build and nurture trusted, collaborative relationships with external partner executives, business development, and internal cross-functional leaders to drive strategic business goals and resolve escalations.
• Build and manage a global, multi-disciplinary team of UX designers, technical writers, and researchers. Mentor, coach, and grow leaders within the organization while cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and craft excellence.
• Advocate for AI product integration and lead AI adoption across the UX organization. Integrate AI workflows to augment the design process and drive organizational velocity, while doubling down on human-centered value and creative problem-solving.
