Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Director, US State Policy. This remote role can be located anywhere in the US and focuses on developing and executing policy positions and advocacy initiatives for high-visibility health policy issues.

The incumbent will drive a portfolio spanning pharmaceutical and medical device policy, Medicaid coverage, reimbursement, and delivery system reform. Strong collaboration with internal partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in health policy or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in public policy or government affairs.
• Strong knowledge of US public policy processes, regulatory and legislative frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute policy positions and advocacy initiatives.
• Lead or support engagement with trade associations and external stakeholders.
• Represent Johnson & Johnson in external venues and conferences.
• Monitor government proceedings and advise business partners on policy impacts.
• Create advocacy materials and testimony for state policy issues.
• Collaborate with internal partners to identify policy research needs.
