Description
Oversees and documents the institutional compliance program at UAB, promoting adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as University shared values and policies. Maintains the integrity and ethical standards of the institution, which includes a significant doctoral degree-granting and research mission and a Division I Athletics program. Reports to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer and is responsible for programmatic activities that advance the compliance program vision and strategy set by the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.
Salary Range: $99,090 - $161,025
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Business, English, Finance, Healthcare or a related field and seven (7) years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
Must be Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) or certified with a Certificate in Research Compliance (CRC) by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) within first two (2) years of hire date. If working with academic medical schools and research units, must be eligible to sit for the Certificate in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC) at time of hire.
