Job summary

Adobe is seeking a Director of UI Software Development to lead the PES frontend teams in San Jose. You will drive cross‑app in‑product experiences, set roadmaps with product and design, and own the technical strategy for rapid prototyping, analytics, and monetization alignment.

You will mentor engineers, ensure performance and scalability, and partner with stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience with strong product development foundations.
• 7+ years of experience leading engineering teams delivering user facing applications at scale.
• Demonstrated experience supporting product growth, adoption, and commercialization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of analytics driven product development including experimentation frameworks and telemetry.
• Solid grounding in performance optimization, scalability, and production reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high performing engineering team delivering cross app in-product experiences.
• Drive end to end execution from ideation through experimentation, launch, and scaled adoption.
• Partner with Product, Design, Growth, and Data to define roadmap priorities aligned with engagement, retention, and revenue outcomes.
• Own the technical strategy for rapid prototyping, integrating capabilities into compelling, scalable, and commercially viable user workflows.
• Establish a culture of analytics driven development, embedding experimentation, telemetry, and measurable success metrics into every feature.
• Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and observability are built into product design and implementation from the outset.
• Translate business strategy and commercialization goals into clear technical execution plans, supporting monetization models and growth initiatives.
• Hire, mentor, and develop exceptional engineers while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
