Job summary

Performance Drone Works (PDW) seeks a Director of Training Development to lead creation, standardization, delivery, and continuous improvement of training across the organization. You will oversee instructional systems design, course development, and ensure alignment with product configurations, safety requirements, and maintenance procedures.

This hands-on leader develops curriculum, coaches instructors, conducts training, and collaborates with engineering, product, operations, and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of technical training, instructional design, or training-program management.
• Experience delivering training in complex technical environments (UAS/defense preferred).
• Ability to lead instructors, curriculum developers, and training professionals.
• Ability to develop, manage curricula, SOPs, assessments, and instructor guides.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, approval, maintenance, and lifecycle of PDW training curricula.
• Lead instructional design and course-of-instruction development teams; set priorities.
• Establish standardized training architecture with objectives, guides, and assessments.
• Support training programs for new products, payloads, software, and updates.
• Observe instructors, coach, and promote accountability and development.
• Assist with workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
• Conduct audits, instructor evaluations, curriculum validations, and after-action reviews.
