Job summary

Performance Drone Works (PDW) is seeking a part-time UAS Training Instructor (1099 Contractor) to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for tactical robotic systems. The role blends on-site and remote instruction and requires extensive field experience with UAS platforms.

Responsibilities include inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, troubleshooting, mission planning guidance, and creating training materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certs or an associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in UAS field operations, maintenance, and training.
• Experience with fixed-wing, multirotor, and hybrid platforms.
• Strong communication and instructional abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance on UAS platforms.
• Troubleshoot hardware, electronics, and software issues.
• Test and calibrate UAS components for performance and safety.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Develop and deliver training programs (virtual and on-site).
• Train clients on UAS operations, mission planning, safety, and compliance.
• Create training materials and after-action reports.
• Maintain detailed repair and training records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows.
