Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (JD, MPH, MPP, MPA, MBA, PhD, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated expertise in U.S. healthcare policy, including Medicare/Medicaid, reimbursement, drug pricing, and 340B policy issues.
  • Strong ability to influence senior leadership and navigate a matrixed organization.
  • Proven experience developing and executing policy strategies affecting legislative or regulatory outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of enterprise public policy strategies supporting patient access and affordability, medical innovation, and pharmaceutical policy objectives.
  • Serve as strategic partner to PGA leadership and cross-functional partners on policy developments.
  • Monitor federal and state policy developments; identify risks, opportunities, and trends for Boehringer Ingelheim.
  • Develop and maintain company policy positions on key healthcare issues.
  • Support advocacy strategy design and implementation with policymakers, agencies, and associations.
  • Represent Boehringer Ingelheim in industry groups and coalitions to influence policy outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams focused on strategic policy initiatives and enterprise objectives.
  • Create policy briefs, presentations, and issue analyses for senior leadership.
