Job description

Infleqtion is seeking a Director of U.S. Facilities to lead the strategy, operations and continued development of our growing U.S. facilities portfolio. This leader will be responsible for our four existing U.S. locations—Louisville, Boulder, Chicago and Madison—as well as future U.S. sites.

Our facilities support some of the world’s most advanced work in quantum computing, sensing and precision technology and include laboratories, technical workspaces, offices and secure environments. As Infleqtion grows, this leader will play a central role in shaping and scaling our U.S. Facilities organization, strengthening the systems, standards and operating practices needed to support a larger and increasingly complex business.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on facilities leader who can operate effectively at both the strategic and tactical level. This person will lead and develop the U.S. facilities team, own major construction and capital programs, oversee Safety and EHS, physical security and real estate, and ensure our facilities operate safely, reliably and effectively.

This leader must also be an exceptional operator and program manager, able to translate evolving business requirements into clear priorities and plans, align stakeholders, anticipate risks and drive work through completion.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead U.S. facilities operations. Own the performance of our U.S. sites and ensure our laboratories, technical workspaces and offices are safe, reliable and ready to support the business.
  • Lead and develop the Facilities team. Set priorities, create clear accountability, develop talent and drive consistent execution across multiple locations.
  • Lead construction and capital programs. Own facility buildouts, renovations, relocations and infrastructure projects from requirements and scope through budget, schedule, execution and closeout. Lead internal resources and external architects, contractors and project partners.
  • Scale facilities systems and operations. Develop and maintain scalable systems and standards for preventive maintenance, work-order management, asset and project tracking, site documentation, SOPs, emergency response, business continuity and facilities performance.
  • Lead real estate, space and capacity planning. Develop a forward-looking view of space requirements and lead site strategy, capacity planning, lease renewals and evaluation of future U.S. locations.
  • Own Safety, EHS and physical security. Lead U.S. environmental, health and safety programs, emergency preparedness, access control, visitor management and secure-area protocols. Partner across the company to support laboratory, technical and controlled environments.
  • Manage budgets and external partners. Own facilities operating and capital budgets, forecasts, contracts and vendor relationships, and ensure external partners deliver against cost, schedule, quality and service commitments.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities, operations, construction or a related field, including significant experience leading teams and complex facilities or programs.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-site facilities operations.
  • Strong people leadership with a track record of developing teams, setting clear expectations and driving high performance.
  • Excellent program-management skills, including the ability to define scope, develop plans, manage budgets and schedules, identify dependencies and risks, coordinate stakeholders and drive multiple initiatives to completion.
  • Experience leading significant construction, renovation, relocation or capital-improvement programs.
  • Experience developing and scaling facilities systems, processes and operating models.
  • Working knowledge of building infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building controls, life-safety systems and preventive maintenance.
  • Experience with Safety, EHS, regulatory compliance and emergency preparedness.
  • Strong financial and commercial judgment, including operating budgets, capital planning, contracts and vendor management.
  • Strong communication, organization and judgment, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.

Preferred Experience

  • Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, aerospace and defense, laboratory, R&D or other technically complex environments.
  • Secure, controlled, classified or restricted-access facilities.
  • Experience supporting significant organizational growth, facility expansion or a rapidly evolving operating environment.
  • Relevant facilities, safety, construction, engineering or project-management certifications are a plus, but not required.

Travel: Limited travel to Infleqtion’s other U.S. locations is required.
