Job summary

Mark Anthony Group in Chicago, IL, seeks a senior logistics leader to own indirect spend and manage relationships with freight and warehouse partners. You will lead high-performing teams, design the network for the future, and drive service levels while controlling costs.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree (MBA or CPA preferred) and 10+ years in logistics with leadership experience and indirect spend management. Collaboration across business units is essential.

Responsibilities

• Accountabilities include full responsibility for transportation carrier network, 3PL warehouse partners, and internal warehouse COE.
• Lead logistics team to bridge constraint gaps and design the network of the future.
• Partner with strategic vendors to ensure service and cost competitiveness.
• Drive process improvements to reduce waste and maximize service levels.
• Oversee on-time shipments, in-full shipments, and high case fill rates.
• Manage freight and warehouse spend and inventory aging targets.
• Own carrier, WH 3PL, and WH real estate contracts; shape warehouse strategy.
• Influence demand, supply, and customer service to hit service levels cost-consciously.
• Veto or escape spend exposures tied to indirects; work across business units.

Serve as the key leader for indirect spend and relationship management for all freight and warehouse partners. Lead high performing teams to ensure service and cost metrics are met. Strategically look ahead and design the network support for the future.

Accountabilities:

• Full responsibility for our transportation carrier network, 3PL warehouse partners, and internal warehouse COE
• Act as key leader within the logistics team to bridge constraint gaps and strategically think about the network of the future
• Partner closely with our strategic vendors to ensure we have top level service and competitive cost structure
• Process improvement driven to reduce waste and maximize service levels
• Productivity initiatives to drive further value from logistics
• On-Time Shipments > 75%
• In-Full Shipments > 85%
• Case Fill % >99%
• Inventory Age <90 Days
• 0 Unforced Inventory Obsolescence
• Freight and WH Spend

Own:

• Carrier, WH 3PL, and WH real estate contracts
• Warehouse strategy to support inventory builds and peak season surge

Influence:

• Demand, supply, and customer service to hit service levels in cost conscience way

Veto:

• Veto or escape anything causing us significant spend exposure tied to in-directs

Critical Relationships:

• This role will work strategically across all business units within the supply chain

Skills Needed To Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree, MBA or CPA
• 10+ years in Logistics roles showing continued growth and leadership
• Team player who can work and communicate with all levels of employees
• Experience managing teams and significant indirect spend

Compensation:

Compensation offered to prospective Team Members has taken internal equity into consideration and can vary depending on a positions’ location. The final agreed upon wage may vary based on the job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the individual.
