Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group invites a Director of Transportation Design Engineering to lead a growing practice in Indiana. You will shape strategy, oversee design and execution of municipal and transportation projects, and mentor a diverse team of engineers and designers.

The role requires a P.E. license, 10+ years in transportation design, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads/MicroStation, with strong client management and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation design engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads/MicroStation.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with ODOT and/or INDOT projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the transportation design engineering department.
• Develop long-term goals, business plans and initiatives to drive growth.
• Oversee planning, design, and execution of transportation and municipal projects.
• Serve as project director on key initiatives with multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, designers, and project managers.
• Foster a collaborative environment and knowledge sharing.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and manage expectations.
• Collaborate with clients to define scopes and deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership on complex engineering challenges.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations and technologies.
• Implement quality control to ensure accurate designs and deliverables.
• Review and approve engineering plans, specs and reports.
