Job summary

BlueRock Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA, seeks a Director of Imaging and Biomarkers, Translational Medicine, to lead imaging protocols and biomarkers across CNS, ophthalmic, and inflammatory diseases.

The role drives translational strategies, leads imaging endpoints in trials, and oversees imaging core labs and CROs in the US and beyond, partnering with program leads to advance development.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/PharmD or equivalent in Neuroscience, Biomedical Imaging, Radiology, or related field.
• 6+ years in translational medicine, imaging sciences, or clinical development.
• Deep expertise in clinical/translational neuroimaging (MRI and PET).
• Direct experience managing imaging protocols in clinical trials (endpoints, harmonization, core lab oversight).
• Experience with imaging endpoints in CNS, ophthalmic, or inflammatory diseases is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop translational strategies to support clinical development plans and regulatory pathways.
• Lead the development and implementation of translational imaging strategies in clinical trials.
• Serve as neuroimaging lead on cross-functional program teams.
• Collaborate with Research to identify and characterize imaging biomarkers in preclinical studies.
• Develop imaging methods and validate tools for clinical use.
• Implement biomarker-driven decision-making across all drug development phases.
• Lead governance of imaging initiatives (e.g., Imaging Steering Committee).
• Provide expertise in MRI, PET, SPECT, HRCT and related modalities as needed.
• Oversee CROs/vendors to execute imaging projects in the US, Canada, and other regions.
