Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Director, Office of Transformation Process Redesign to lead end-to-end process redesign initiatives across transformation areas, shaping operating models and implementation handoff. This role requires translating strategic intent into scalable designs and embedding AI-driven workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes.

You will partner with product, technology, and operations to de-risk roadblocks, define standards, and propagate reusable patterns across Mastercard

Qualifications

• Proven track record translating ambiguous intent into a clean operating plan and running systems end-to-end.
• Deep expertise in business process optimization and process redesign, including current-/future-state mapping and implementation handoff.
• Structural thinker who understands process components and dependencies to identify the shortest path to outcomes.
• Results-oriented approach combining strategic intent with rigorous process performance inspection.
• Excellent project management and leadership across cross-functional teams in ambiguous contexts.
• Ability to navigate matrixed organizations and influence without formal authority.
• Experience modernizing legacy processes, systems, and operating models.
• Identifying practical AI and automation use cases in process redesign with scalable impact.
• Lean Six Sigma process redesign experience.
• Clear, concise verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end process discovery, current-state mapping, and future-state redesign for transformation areas, from concept to handoff.
• Define processes, decisions, dependencies, and handoffs enabling scalable, interdependent execution.
• Architect redesigned processes integrating compliance, risk, contracting, billing, and product configuration.
• Identify cross-functional roadblocks and chart shortest paths to positive outcomes across product, tech, and ops.
• Create frameworks, standards, and reusable patterns for Mastercard product ecosystems.
• Define where AI, automation, and agent workflows should be embedded, balancing streamline with automation.
• Instrument redesigned processes with metrics, ensuring ongoing performance monitoring and improvement.
• Communicate progress and recommendations to senior executives, escalating trade-offs as needed.
