The Director, Ticket Sales will report to and collaborate with the General Manager.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in developing, implementing, and executing the short-term and long-term ticket sales strategies of the organizationActively sell and maintain a healthy book of ticket sales businessIdentify, recruit, hire, train and lead a sales team to build a dynamic sales environment that will exceed the sales goals of the organizationEvaluate the daily activities of the sales team and provide regular feedback, training, coaching and leadership during weekly reviewsProvide guidance on the sales process with every team member, including assistance with prospecting, qualifying potential clients, presenting solutions and hosting consistent meetings with everyone on a regular basisRegularly measure the effectiveness of the organization’s various sales campaigns and offerings and provide recommendations for further improvementCultivate strong relationships within the community that will encourage tickets sales and build a sales pipelineUtilize feedback from clients to develop additional benefits, address concerns, improve communicates and better the ticket offerings moving forwardRepresent the organization in the community at various events and work to identify new key community relationships and partnership that will assist in growing the organizationActively remain aware of trends and developments within our league and industry and provide ideas and insights to improve our ticket sales portfolioOther duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sport Management, or a related field4+ years of experience in ticket or other B2B and B2C sales2+ year of sales leadership experienceProven ability to build, develop and retain a staffTeam above self-mentalityHigh personal accountabilityStrong time management and organizational skillsDesire to cultivate strong relationships within and outside of the organizationAbility to be creative, take calculated risks and strive to better the standing of the organizationAbility to communicate articulately and confidently, both verbally and in writing, with individuals at every levelAbility to work effectively in a high-pressure environment while prioritizing and leading multiple tasks/projects at the same timeAbility to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
