Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver, Colorado is seeking an experienced program manager to lead large-scale gas and electric relocation and transmission projects. You will coordinate with CDOT, regulators, municipalities, customers and legal teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure project success from planning through closeout.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in business or engineering, eight+ years of utility project experience, and strong leadership. PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum eight years combined gas/electric utility experience in engineering or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or knowledge.
• Familiarity with regulations applicable to engineering/construction projects.
• Subject to all applicable Federal, State and Xcel Energy Drug testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and construction of generation facilities, coordinating resources to meet project schedules and meet construction completion requirements.
• Negotiate work requests and execute agreements for utility relocations and new power requirements, ensuring compliance with easement and license constraints.
• Manage field relocations of facilities and power requirements for the project, minimizing downtime and meeting timelines.
• Coordinate timely invoice reimbursements for the project.
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely and equitable manner.
